Question:What are the benefits of peptides for your skin and is there an added benefit using a peptide if used with NuVANTE products?Answer:Peptides are amino acids that are now a hot area in skin care because we have learned that certain peptides, when used in the right concentrations and combinations, can cause a relaxation of wrinkled areas of the skin . . . similar to a "Botox" effect. Obviously, "Botox" is meant to relax the skin and relax wrinkles. However, by doing quality work with a skin care product, you can actually go in and apply natural, healthy compounds that will relax that skin and improve wrinkles. Consequently, there are benefits to peptides, in terms of skin care, and the NuVANTE products have peptides in them already. These peptides function as messengers in the skin that improve the communication between the epidermis and dermis, resulting in healthier skin. Specifically, our active products have fabulous peptides in them. Some of the peptides we use are arginine, glycine, and proline. Proline is an amino acid that is a critical building block for collagen, while arginine is an amino acid that firms the skin and relaxes wrinkles. Glycine is an amino acid that is critical to healthy skin and hair.
