Question:Can NuVANTE products be used in conjunction with Retin A and StriVectin?Answer:Fortunately, because NuVANTE products are free from harmful chemicals and preservatives, you can use them in combination with any skin care line or other products. Retin A is a prescription product (a vitamin A derivative) that people use for either anti-wrinkling or acne that helps exfoliate or turn over the skin more rapidly to reduce the amount of acne that they have. StriVectin is a biopeptide, which is used to prevent wrinkling. Biopeptides actually work with the collagen and elastin in the skin. However, it is important to distinguish that StriVectin and Retin A are not necessarily going to be in a clean base. That means that the actual cream that the Retin A or biopeptides is put into is not automatically going to be free of the harmful chemicals and ingredients that NuVANTE is so philosophically focused on. However, you still can use them together. Remember that there is always a transition period with any new product. Even some of the Retin A variations on the market have issues with the base creating reactivity and blockage of the pores. Because the actual base compound was creating issues, they have had to work around that. It is important to have the philosophy of what is actually in a product . . . what is active about the product that is creating changes and transformations of the skin.
